Citrus, Peach, Floral

There are some delicate flavors to be enjoyed here, but it was a little too light for me. The unground beans had an excellent bouquet, so I expected more robust flavor from the brew. (Chemex pour-over with paper filter)

My favorite so far! This one had a complex and strong floral scent, and a fantastic earthy citrus flavor profile.

Really like the first taste with hints of Lime - when grinding the Lime permeates the air. Like a summer adult beverage! One of the best Ethiopian coffees and we've had a lot come through the club.

I had to give this one a few different brews to get it right. It was brewing very weak for me (French press), but I ended up letting it sit in the press much longer than a typical roast and I was able to get a really good cup. Bright and flavorful, but definitely on the subtle side. I would say it tastes like a complex tea more than a coffee. This is my first go at a Nordic roast, not sure if it’s my favorite, but definitely interesting and unique.

This is a solid cup of coffee. The flavor notes aren't as noticeable as some other coffees, but still an enjoyable cup.

I love Ethiopia varieties generally. But I have to say, this one was super special - subtle notes of fruit, some floral elements, and a wonderfully subtle profile. I had gotten a 6-0z bag, and it finished all too quickly.

So I have brewed twice now. Both on a hario cloth filter. A slightly finer grind and courser grind to my normal and the finer grind seems to be helping bring out some of the more floral notes but so far I have no achieved a solid extraction of the flavors that I assume are in this coffee. Given the origin and bean type I assume there are some nice fruit/floral/tea like flavors I can get out, but I am failing to do so. Even so it is a nicely balanced coffee. Does anyone have any suggestions on how they best found to brew this batch? I have a siphon, chemex, cloth/paper, v60, and a kalita wave just as reference. Grinding using a baratza encore.

I enjoyed this coffee. It is lightly fruity, not too overwhelming.

Jeffrey is right on with regard to what I tasted. "Dry" isn't a word I would have thought of, but is very accurate. The citrus note is the most forward one, and I wasn't able to get a lot else out of the beans. My weaker brews (at relatively coarse grind settings) were the best ones, but very light. Not for me.

Light roast with delicate flavors. Makes a great cup. I enjoy light roasts, but this left me wanting just a little more body. I was surprised how little the freshly ground coffee bloomed. (Baratza Virtuoso #16, Chemex pour-over, 205° water)

I love waking up to my automated grind & brew machine sprinkling the air with this fruity aromatic coffee. It tastes great and is one of my favorites.

As noted the lime is clear. This was enjoyable enough but nothing amazing. I didn’t get much in the way of floral notes. A bit too subtle for me, I guess.

I experienced overtones of lime and grapefruit lending way to mild floral undertones. A perfect example of the excellence of coffees produced in the Yirgacheffe region. Ground with Comandante C40 MKIII and brewed with Hario V60 utilizing the 4:6 method as developed by Tetsu Kasuya.

The beans seem to be varying in roast leaves within the bag I was sent. But tasted alright.

A surprise perk of club membership: if you post about your struggles in your reviews sometimes you'll get suggestions from the club. I purchased a Kruve coffee sifter based on one of those suggestions and found out my grinder was badly out of sorts. It turns out the burr holder is damaged; the three tabs it sits on are bent. This leads to inconsistent uneven grinding. Fortunately it's a Baratza and a new part is on the way. In the meantime, once you sift out the mistakes, the coffee is lovely.

If I could rate this coffee higher I would. I absolutely love it. It's light and sweet but with the flavor that can only be brought out by some acidity.

Nice morning cup.

This is a very nice Ethiopian, light and smooth, with a subtle hint of lime to start things off. A good way to start your day.
