I get way more enjoyment with the Aeropress on this one.
Smooth and rich, but not too heavy. The chocolate was definitely there, but the apple brightened it up to a less heavy flavor!
Definite cocoa and cherry aromas! This is the rich, deep flavor that we prefer! Very smooth!
There was this spicy forward notes on the nose and followed by floral notes. It tastes distinctively geisha. The unique geisha juicy taste lingers on. I can drink this all day and all night. It has been a long while waiting for a geisha and this does not disappoint.
Surprisingly good. Starts off tangy and fruity and ends sweet and dry. Taste lingers beautifully.
Smooth, balanced with a hit of acid at the end. Enjoyable.
Rich with some distinct flavors! That cherry cola and chocolate were very prominent, while the mango just lifts the deep taste. We really loved this!
Nice coffee, subtle and tangy on the palate. Flavors come out even more when it cools down a bit.
Chocolate forward with a wave of caramel and only a hint of tobacco. Nothing out of place or over-powering.
Coffee starts off with floral and fruit notes - a bit of sour cherry, then an earthy, rich finish. Very nice.
all of the fruitiness was great.
Chocolate notes, a great way to start my morning.
Coffee flavor is rich, with dark chocolate, tannins and a nice bite. I prefer coffees with a nice tartness, which is a bit more difficult to detect here. But the rich, deep flavor and slight astringency still nicely comes through.
Aromatic and well-balanced.
The beans have a wonderfully floral flavor and aroma, like an Ethiopia, but a bit warmer and earthier. A bit of fruit at the end, especially when the coffee cools a bit. Really nice.
I don't like coffee that is citrus-forward, this was flavorful yet well balanced.
A smooth flavor, slightly chocolatey, with subtle fruit notes. The acidity is understated for me. Very enjoyable, probably the best decaf I have tasted.
Definitely the plum-in the aroma and the flavor! The depth of the beans and the freshness that the lime gave it (without too much citrus) made it so wonderful!
One of the best recent coffees I have tried. A fairly random trial, due to a review I read somewhere. Loved it. Shipping took forever due to holidays and snow. Hope this isn't a pattern. Coffee was worth the wait.
Sour fruit (in a good way), bright acidity, earthy notes
I wish my vocabulary was broad enough to describe how much I love this coffee! First time trying Moustache coffees, and this one has ruined me from ever considering any store-bought coffees as good enough. It is rich and wonderful.
This was the first coffee I tried from the moustache coffee club. The best coffee I've tried in the past year and a half. The taste opens with a very prominent aroma of white peach, with the aftertaste of blueberry. Thia coffee is quite hard to get wrong - even with my sloppy morning brew I get little to no bitterness. I have yet to try this in an espresso, but it works very well with an aeropress.
Hi liked as it was chocolaty with fruity flavors
None
This coffee has a such velvety beginning, not sharp like some. It invites one to linger over that mildly dark chocolate body and its cola-like top note. I am always amazed at how accurately the flavors I get match the packaging notes. I appreciate the time which has gone into developing your flavor vocabulary. But are my perceptions being driven by the words I read? That's always a question, but I have never minded. This one is a favorite.
Yummy chocolate, smooth and balanced.
Fruity, full bodied, juicy
This is flavorful but delicate - my favorite combination. I do get the hints of brown sugar, tamarind, and even yellow peach - it's really delightful!
Tartness, blackberry, a bit of spice. Wonderful coffee - opened the bag, and the aroma was wonderful. Nicely tart but balanced, especially for a Colombian coffee. Terrific.
Has a great flavor with a bold, but not overpowering, natural coffee. There's a bit of funkiness for a wash, but in a good way.
I've ordered the coffee twice and both times the flavor profile was intense. The first bag had a sweet aftertaste that I assume was the cake like finish described above. The second bag of beans had a bit less sugar taste and more Cacao.
A distinctive coffee to be looked forward to and savored. Each sip 'rings' across the palate like a soft brass bell. Then comes a chocolate undertone and a subtle tartness that I want to describe as cherry, but darker. Very enjoyable.
A naturally sweet coffee. Smells so good after grinding. Tastes amazing. It is a lighter coffee than I usually drink in the morning. Will use when making a sweet coffee treat like an affogato.
Hard to compare all the good coffees but this Gikanda taste delicious. I taste a bit of sweetness, sometimes tart. All around a fantastic coffee.
We tasted the fresh raspberry
Not sure why but I taste more tea like flavors. Hard not to like a Suke Quto coffee.
A good change of pace with a nice mellow taste of toffee. Tried a finer grind on day 3 and for some reason the coffee tasted a bit more tasty.
Wow, what a coffee! Perfectly smooth and rich. A favorite!
Citrus, tea - and umami that I can’t identify.
Today, I really did taste the lemon, and I have to say that it was a bit distracting.
While Moustache always provides excellent coffee, occasionally they hit it out of the ballpark. A good example is this Kenyan coffee: it has a deep, dark chocolate body finishing with an almost perfect tang, just the right amount of fruit. Light-roast fans looking for coffee's subtleties will find a lot to praise here. Delicious!
Surprisingly full but subtle flavor on this one. A good deal of fruit with the washed process. But still lingering floral notes and wonderful balance throughout.
Blueberry, herbs, lime
