These absolutely stellar beans come from the east African country of Burundi, where they were grown by farmers in the Kayanza region. Bordering Rwanda, Burundi has extremely nutrient-rich volcanic soil where coffee plants thrive, and plenty of smart coffee producers to bring the best flavors out of each planting. This particular batch of washed bourbon beans has an incredibly nuanced flavor profile. On first sip, you'll travel through light jasmine notes before landing on more substantive tangerine and stone-fruit flavors. It's a sweet coffee, but the jasmine notes give it a lift that makes the profile refreshing and clean. This is a soft, balanced coffee that seems new with every cup. Enjoy!
