This beautiful fresh crop heirloom is the second coffee from our new partnership with Tim Wendelboe's Nordic Approach. This sweet and balanced coffee comes from Mohammed and Mehbuba Lalo's impressive farm in the Jimma zone of Ethiopia. We featured Lot 4 from them last week, and we are delighted to feature Lot 5 this week. Despite coming from the same farm, these two lots are distinctly different due to the farm manager's commitment to lot separation. Most independent farms in Ethiopia don't have the scale or facilities to keep lots separate once picked, but the Lalo farm has sufficient dry beds and processing facilities to maintain the separation of the coffees from picking through processing, resulting in flavors unique to each lot. Their investment and diligence comes through in every cup, and we are happy to present the second of the Lalo lots to you.
