This robust and flavorful washed bourbon coffee comes to you from the beautiful Las Nubes farm in Santa Ana, El Salvador. Purchased by Isidro Batlle in the 1920's and kept in the family since then, this farm has focused on growing quality bourbon coffees. While countries neighboring El Salvador moved on to experiment with other coffee varieties in the 1980's, a civil war broke out in El Salvador that limited the introduction of different coffee varietals. The war now over, the coffee industry has grown and once again become a major export in El Salvador. For Las Nubes, the result of this history is a mountainous farm stocked with incredible old-growth bourbon plants that produce a smooth, savory cup of coffee with ephemeral fruity highlights and a clean finish. We love the aroma and fullness of these old growth bourbons, and we couldn't be more excited to be sharing some of Las Nubes' best with you this week!
