This week's rich, full-flavored coffee originated high in the Andes Mountains, where it was grown on a microlot that stretches up the hillside. This coffee was processed by "El Palto," a Peruvian coffee cooperative run by small-holder farms. This cup, coming from Senor Idrogo's farm that grows four different varietals of coffee, is smooth and consistent, yielding an excellent brew every time. Flavor-wise, these beans produce a heavy, chocolatey body and warm notes of toasted almond, with a touch of brown sugar sweetness to boot: perfect for warming up during the winter season, and sharing with loved ones.
