We love it when we get the opportunity to feature different lots from the same farm, and thankfully Maria Damaris Medina's Finca Santa Elena has plenty of great lots to choose from. Folks often assume that coffee from the same farm will taste mostly the same, so it's fun to have multiple lots from Finca Santa Elena that were all wet-processed in the same way - so that you can really taste the variance between different varietals and separated lots. There's no one defining factor that contributes to a coffee's flavor profile, so it's always interesting to see how coffees with very similar growing and processing conditions differ. In this case, the flavors coming out of Santa Elena are unique but unified by one very important characteristic: they're all very delicious brews.
Santa Elena #3, in particular, is notable for its dessert-like flavors. We're tasting notes of cocoa and brown sugar sweetness, along with a touch of raspberry tartness. It reminds us a bit of a decadent chocolate cake that would be perfect for after dinner, but we won't tell anybody if you decide to have some with breakfast. Treat yourself this week with an incredible brew!

I loved the Santa Elena #3 coffee, it was very delicate, a light-medium roast, with clear notes of raspberry and the chocolate taste (I would say that the chocolate could have some dulce de leche). Somehow I also noted very light citrus notes.

Love this coffee! I feel like it’s a good staple coffee to have around. Smells nice and strong, but it’s smooth tasting.

This one isn't a standout for me, but is pleasant enough. Very sippable.
