Chirosos de San Carlos — Colombia, Antioquia
From the picturesque Penderisco River valley of Urrao, Antioquia, comes this exceptional washed Chiroso coffee, grown at 1,800 meters by a dedicated group of 10 small-scale producers.
The cup profile showcases the best of the Chiroso variety, offering notes of chocolate and caramel balanced by bright citrus acidity and lush tropical fruit undertones. Each batch undergoes a precise fermentation protocol, including a 12-hour aerobic pre-fermentation followed by 36 hours of anaerobic fermentation, developing deep sweetness and complexity.
This coffee represents the inaugural harvest of an innovative project focused on quality development and fair compensation for producers. Through direct trade relationships, participating farmers earn up to 30% more than traditional markets, creating sustainable opportunities for their families and community.
